Purpose: To evaluate the levels of EPO in the aqueous humor in eyes with and without glaucoma.
Methods: Levels of EPO were measured using a ELISA kit in aqueous humor from 71 patients, of whom 26 had PACG(12 acute; 14 chronic), 15 had POAG and 30 had senile cataract only.
Conclusion: Aqueous EPO concentration is increased in eyes with glaucoma.
